just sold my non-running supra few hours ago for $2500
hasn't been running for about 6 months now but i already kind of regret letting her go
always will be a die hard suprahead!
that's what i thought... & i'm still trying to sell the car. However, it would sell for alot more if it was running. & i'm also still debating if i want to let the supra go. i know i'll eventually regret it, but right now i don't have the money for a new engine, especially not a 1j or 2j. if i...
hey guys i was wondering if i could swap engine/tranny from a '84 into a '91 turbo. i would like to stay 7mgte, however, i don't think the 84 is 7mgte. :1zhelp:
the 84 is manaul & the 91 is auto. therefore, it would be a engine/tranny swap since i want to go manual on the 91. would this work...
my engine recently blew on me & due to limited time/money i'm considering selling it as is.
just wondering how much you guys will be willing to spend on a supra that no longer runs due to a blown engine.
keep in mind...
-mint condition metallic blue paint about a year old
-no crazy mods...
im running out of options & selling the supra is looking more & more like the best decesion for me. how much would u be willing to spend on it lewis?
keep in mind...
-mint condition metallic blue paint about a year old
-no crazy mods, pretty much all stock.
-only aftermarket piece = apexi...
this is definately the option i'm leaning towards. i will start looking around for a new 7mgte. some people are telling me i might as well just go 1jz if i'm going to get a new engine. but i can't imagine how expensive that move would be. & it would probably be hell trying to find a 1j. anyways...
so im on the highway going about 60 and i hear this really weird noise coming from the engine. so i let off the gas lil bit & the noise would stop & when i step on the gas again the noise would get louder & louder. and the car started jerkin & jittering. & i had a feeling wat was coming next. &...
wow, that's very very rare.
i don't like the front end at all. a supra isn't a supra without the original front end imo.
& the bright ass orange needs to go both interior & exterior.
but i give it credit due to the very rare body kit.
i appreciate all the feedback, & it seems like everyone goes about their own ways to install their suspension. i'll take all feedback into consideration.
& as far as using a compressor, i think it's a good idea to use one. it'll save me alot of probable trouble in the long run.
can't wait...
once again, thanx for the feedback guys. highly appreciated.
i'm goin to keep everything mentioned here in mind when i finally decide to get this done.
& gaboon, i agree with u 100% i thought it was the biggest ripoff.
but i'm glad this is something many of you have done on your own...
