88T: In the R series it's basically the same thing!

3540 denotes a GT40 compressor and wheel

3582 denotes an 82mm compressor wheel (GT40 wheel) it just depends who you buy it from to how it's labelled!

I went for a 1.06 AR as I plan to buzz this new motor pretty hard.

I plan on buying a GT35R once I see what my Frankenstein 5 Greddy 20g can do. Not sure it if it was mentioned already, but the GT35R is dual ball bearing.

GrpA: I almost went 42 but am trying to keep within the flow limitations of my IC!

I'll be real interested to hear how it performs on your 7M please keep us updated when you get it!

while were on the subject, any oppinions on the disco potato? (gt28rs) it's supposed to be the turbo that made the supercharger obsolete

Just looking at my Garrett catalouge and the 42 has a 4" Compressor outlet!

That's gonna make IC piping messy/difficult!

The Disco Potato @ 15 PSI is only flowing 28 lbs/min.

is that good or bad? I had just always heard people speak of the potato as the holy grail for turbos (at that price I would think so) of course this was comming from honda guys.

ive ordered gt42 r but waiting for it to turn up dont think anyone else has done that on 7m yet so be intresting

A local guy here is using that turbo on a 7M, that thing has a 5inch inlet :drink1: . He ran 11's with his pte67 and wanted more power for this year. Un-tuned he gets full boost at 4900rpm. That is on a stock block/head 7MGTE. Only internal work he has is MHG and ross pistons (or are they JE....). Firewall needed to be bashed in to make a 4" exhaust and strut tower needed to be "massaged" to make the turbo fit.
