i was thinking about purchasing a jdm 7mgte to rebuild bottom to top but my point is its gonna take at least a year or so to do so but even with that time or so will the motor be rust or anything like that if its left sooo long for rebuilt? could anything happen after i drop it in?
would anything possibly happen?

If you take the proper precautions, no, the motor won't rust. Obviously, don't leave it outside in the elements; keep it indoors, cover it, and if you're really paranoid, wipe a coating of oil in the cylinders to keep moisture off the metal. If you're going to store it for a long time after machine work to the block, or partial assembly, use an engine bag or large trash bag to cover it and seal it as best you can.
