Hey guys. My supra got rear ended last weekend while I was stopped at a stop light. Long story short rear end is messed up bad and I'm only gonna get 1700 bucks for it but I can keep the car. I found another 89 turbo targa 5spd for sale right here near me for 1k its marked as a Special Edition. The body looks to be in pretty good shape but the paint is starting to go. It looks like its been out in the sun a little too long and the dash is cracked. The car runs but has a blown head gasket. Now my original plan was to find a donor car with a perfect body and just swap my engine and trans in because they are both pretty new but i'd have to have a shop do it because I don't have the time or another car to get around in. Now if I can just fix the head gasket on this one i'll probably hang on to both of them until I can afford to swap it on my own time.
Not so short, but do you guys think it would be worth getting or should I look for something in a little better shape without a motor for less? As of right now my car still runs, but the frame is bent.
