Hey guys, im having somewhat of a strange problem. Normally when I go outside and start my car everything goes fine and I drive away. The problem is that after the car gets nice and warm or if im driving for a while when I shut down and then go to start it again it won't start. It'll kinda kick over and then shut back down. If iwait a little bit and then full throttle it sometimes I can get it to start but most of the time I need to wait until it completely cools off. Im also having a problem with it breaking up at high rmp and not having too good of WOT power almost like half throttle is faster. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

Can you check actual fuel pressure when it won't start? You need a pressure gauge and adapters to fit the rail. There isn't a schrader valve. :nono:

Keep in mind, an old fuel pump may also struggle to prevent vapor lock. Even though the car runs fairly normal.

Make sure you have these parts, and they are hooked up according the vacuum diagram. Many previous and current owners take things off the car they think it doesn't need. Like this valve. I just noticed Austrailia. Your engine control might have small differences from the North American market.

I have seen a couple of igniters die when hot. But they were Corolla's, and it was only a couple of times. Strange, since that engine makes very little heat.

Thanks for all the replys guys. For some reason I can't open that second link but I figure I might as well go through the fuel system looking for problems. I didn't even think that could be it. I have another fuel pump so ill throw that in and im also going to change the filter because its most likely the original haha. I guess ill grab a vented cap while im at it just to see if it helps.
