I gotta take out my 7m tomorrow..(n/a auto)...7m bhg...ofcourse... and the tranny is shot. Question...is it easier to take out the engine and tranny while they are both still bolted on to each other? or should i d/c them?.. also... can i put 7m with auto tranny bolted on to each other back in...u know?... kill to birds with one stone kinda deal....

it's easier to pull em both, and to put them back in as a unit IMHO...

if you have a load leveler so you can tilt the engine/tranny it helps A LOT and I couldn't see doing it without one...

If you're by yourself (which is not recommended) and don't have a load-leveler, dc the transmission. The engine alone, can clear the body very easily.

If you've got some help (and/or a load leveler), then definitely pull the engine & tranny together.

a load leveler would really be helpful...all i have is a cherry picker which won't do much for tilting and an extra pair of hands...lets see if i have any trouble...if i do, ill take u up on that offer..thanks
