my supra is currently automatic and ive got a W58 to convert her but the W58 is out of a mark2 supra which dosent have ABS...my car does

i was just wondering dosent the ABS sensor get its reading for the rear wheels from the driveshaft?, so how would i get the abs working? use a mark 3driveshaft? or i was going to get a machine shop to adapt my auto shaft to the front end of the mark2 w58 shaft

or can i use the auto abs sensor and fit it onto the manual driveshaft?

problem here in new zealand is we have very few manual supras and is diifficult to find things

thanks
Nick

The ABS sensor is mounted un top in the middle of the extension (tailshaft) housing on MKIII W58 tranny's. It actually read from the reverse gear. So if you would need a MKIII ABS equiped extension housing to keep the ABS functional

ahh ok cool il have to have a look around for a mk3 DS, would the whole abs system not work if the rears were discoinnected?

The driveshaft has nothing to do with the ABS sensor or sysem. Look at the picture below. As for not working, I am not sure, but I do know that the ABS light will be on and the system will be in fault mode, now what will actually happen, I am not sure.
