vin breakdown

does any one have the breakdown for the vin numbers(what each number stands) im trying to find out what month my car was made. i no that it is a 90 targa i also wanna no original color and turbo or not. i know that i can probably figure all this out by looking at the car but im no where near it and wont be for 7 more months but im starting to order replacement parts now so that when i get back i have everything there and ready to start working. And apparently some parts were changed in the middle of 90 between 7/90 and 8/90.

Enawazh : wheres the numbers of the engine on chassis ? how do they now if the engine is original or was changed? where do i look for those numbers?
