I have searched, but didn't come up with the answers I was looking for SO...Is it normal for my vacuum reading to fluctuate when the car is idling or does this point slightly towards a boost leak? the car still makes full boost, it only fluctuates about 1 - 2 max inHG, usually from around 20 down to 19 or 18 then back up sometimes when it is idling.

Vaccum leaks and boost leaks are different. A 1 to 2 shouldn't cause any problems and might be contributed to a vsv opening or closing.
i get a steady 25inches of hg, and i think i'll get even a bit more if i put a check valve between my intake tube(pre filter) and pcv hose. i'd figure any leak past the tb would cause a constant drop in vacum, not a flucuating one. is there a spec for vacum?
