The turbo that makes the most reliable HP out of them all of course ;). Now, to find that out, you must buy all the PNP turbos and their individual options, install each and dyno each. That will let you know which is best. You can ship me the spare ones you'll have left over, I'll find a home for them ;).

BOSS uses lipp stainless rear housings, their wastegates were better than the SPGT's at first... but I believe they're all on par now.

But yeah: "Buy them all and dyno prove them with reliability." seems like the only logical answer. :)

boss makes a good bang for the buck turbo, from what i have read. others are upgraded CT-26s (54, 57 etc), the greddy 20g upgrade, turbonettics makes a bolt on 60-1 and a bolt on 62-1, and of course there are the JT series.

You shouldn't recommend anything until he explains his goals and setup.

im not recommending anything, merely stating whats out there. its up to him to do the research, and to make the decision on what to buy.

The best plug and play turbo is going to be one that mounts to your stock manifold, and you dont have to modify anything at all, and is proportional to the other amount of work you've had done.

For instance, do you have a lexus afx? bigger injectors? block work? Metal head gasket? ported head/other stuff? what are your power goals?

If you go with the Boss turbo you have many to chose from. In a stage 4 there is a 50 trim@450hp, 54 trim@475hp, 57 trim@525hp in the E cover. In the stage 41/2 you have 50 trim@425hp, 54 trim@475hp, 61trim@525hp and the stage 5 with a 54 trim@500hp.
If you are going to street race go with the stage 4, if you want to use it more on the track use the stage 5, and if you want both go with the 41/2 stage.

You can also add the BB at a small extra, well worth the extra. I should also point out that the hp numbers are at the crank and is not at the rear wheels so maybe you need to look a little bit larger hp.
