I'm worried I have engine problems.... :1zhelp:
I'm having lower oil pressure then normal these days... I also have a slight ticking sound from 2300+rpm when I give it medium throttle. BUT I think maybe it's an exhaust leak I hope?
We just tapped the downipe for 2 nipples and have them open but with a simple rubber hose connecting the 2 together. (I'm going to run -10an hose from the valve covers to these nipples for PCV and I'm getting my valve covers chromed now so this is why we jimmy rigged it for now).
Do you think that could cause the valve ticking sound? Why is my oil pressure seem lower?
Background info:
- Engine rebuilt 3000mi ago
- New oil pressure sender, new oil pump
- Engine seems strong? (Just dyno'd @ 380hp with only 12psi)
- There are 2 valves on the nipples that come with the PCV evacuation kit from Summit on the downpipe. These are just connected to eachother for now until with a rubber hose until I re-route the PCV.
I just got the damn thing idling good and resolved all my maft-pro issues and now I have a ticking sound
Any idea what it could be????? Do you think it could be as simple as the nipples on the downpipe not being hooked up? Why is it my oil pressure seems low? It's full damn it! It shows 3/4 full on the dipstick.
