I have a 90 Turbo Automatic, and the owner before me cut, wait, hacked up the stock metal lines, so they leak all the time because of the rubber peices that are holding them together. I want to put in an upgraded transmission cooler and steel braided lines in place of the stock system. my question is what size are the fittings on the transmission and where can i order the steel braided hose with these fittings. Also, what transmission cooler would yall reccomend?

For you cooler i'd get a B&M stacked plate design cooler, hit up summit and you'll find the size you need.

As for the hacked up metal lines, where did the previous owner hack em up? Really close to the tranny or just the ends. I just use oil resistant hose and screw clamps w/ no problems.

they did it somewhere near the middle of the lines. I put transmission oil hose on there, but it keeps blowing the line. Im just going to give it one more go around and clamp the hell out of that damn line this time. Hopefully it'll hold until i can afford a new set up.

I'm running a B&M Tranny cooler sitting right in place of my foglight. :)

It truly does work some wonders and save your transmissions life (for a bit longer, anyways) ;).

I'm also using oil resistant hoses with regular clamps. Been working and holding on fine for over a year now. :)
