Tranny Help

alright here it goes...i did a R154 rebuild and everything seemed to go perfect and just as planned...

After assembly obviously time to put on the shifter and make sure it makes it goes through the gears...YES perfectly fine shiftin nice, havin some good fun with it even out of the car lol...

get the thing home, ready to mate it up with its partner and throw them both back into my car...WILL NOT SHIFT... WTFFFFFFFF could have happened on the car ride home? im about to be takin the shifter back off and make sure thats not the problem but it seemss internal by feel of the shifter now... any suggestions or possibilities u come up with lemme kno...........

Open it back up. The shafts as you probably noticed have an interlock built into them. It prevents being in two gears at once. That is about the only thing that will keep the shifter from moving if everything else is good.

Hey man I gotta give up some props for actually attempting to rebuild one of those things, I have the TSRM and have looked into doing that very thing, but I think it is a little out of my realm--to many friggn peices. My R154's 2nd gear synchros are going out and I bought another entire tranny with a guarantee. Was it a pretty straight forward deal or was it a real beeeaatch?
