tranny cover?

is there suppose to be a cover for the flywheel? located between the block and tranny the lower one? I just did a 5 speed swap

Yup....its two pieces of stamped sheet metal and its annoying to get it in place while trying to hold the trans in place....there is an upper piece and lower piece.

yep, I don't have em on since they never came on the car and didn't know I needed em until it was all back together.

Never had an issue though...

Quite a few cars ive seen are missing the inspection plates actually.
