TPS Sporatic Fault=DTC code?

as the title goes..
if i have a sporatic circuit short or open in the TPS, will it set a code 41? it doesn't mean there's a fault occuring all the time right? i would have a major throttle input concern and a MIL light if this was the case right?

Intermittent codes are "soft" in that they will be set in memory but not light the MIL. Hard faults, those that remain unresolved until certain other parameters are met, will illuminate the MIL. Even then in all but two cases the MIL will extinguish if the fault clears itself. The code however will remain set.
