timing problem with my 87 turbo? how do i fix it?

ive been told that since my idle isnt what it use to be(after i intall some mods)

anywho what tools will i need to fix my timing problem?

and how do i fix it?

Are you talking ignition timing or cam timing????

Or both????

Check your ignition timing before playing with it.

For cam timing check:

OK, Ive been thinking about this too, and i'm wondering why you have to jump the diag block... not that i'm disagreeing, just wonder why... anyone know?

Because if you don't the computer will play with the timing as it sees fit, and you will never get it timed correctly.

Jumping the plugs, "disables" the computer somewhat so you can set the base timing.

My descrption is not very techincal but, I think you get the idea.
