Hey guys, I'm testing my TPS right now. The test results fit the specified results listed in the TSRM.... BUT, when I heat the TPS up with a hair dryer and test the resistence between E2 and and VTA and I slowly close the throttle from full open to full closed I get mad spikes all over the place.... that can't be normal. Is it?

I'm working on this right now, if anyone can help feel free to IM me on AIM, my screenname is PlynthBloX.

Oh and the car is an N/A.

Thanks!!!!

No, using a hair dryer on a potentiometer isn't normal.

ROFL

Hey don't knock it... without using thew hair dryer I wouldn't have found the fault in the AFM which is causing my problems.

Still the TPS's resistance isn't smooth, but it's not what's causing my problem. It's just acting like I'd expect from a 20yo wire wound pot.
