My buddy is having trouble with his temp gauge after his 1jz swap from jzx90.
He said that after 3 min the guage will go from cold to full hot within 20 sec but the engine is not over heating.
He replace the sensor but the same thing happen.
He disconnect the sensor and the gauge didn't read anything.
Could it be a bad gauge? Wiring?
He bought the car as a shell so he doesn't know if the gauge was working properly before.
