Can anyone give me a general idea of what kind of things would I be noticing?

I have run my codes and replaced the subsequent sensors but I need to run them again, so my intention is just to get an idea.

These symptoms pretty much exactly match what my car is doing, but I really do not know what I'm doing when it comes to looking the car over for what he did.

Thanks for help,

to test for vacuum leaks you just need to get some brake parts cleaner and spray it on the suspected areas/all vacuum sources, if the engine speed changes when you spray a particular spot, you can assume there is a vacuum leak there.

To check for a bad gasket or a vacuum leak you can try waving an unlit propane torch along the lines and unions. If the idle shifts suddenly then you've found a leak were air is entering and shouldn't be. You don't need to open the valve on the torch too much... Some people just start spraying carb cleaner around under the hood... Personally, I'm not too fond of either method, but I'll use propane first.

A bad AFM can cause all kinds of problems... it depends on which part failed and why.

If you suspect that a spark plug or plug wire may be bad you can start the car, let it idle and while it is running disconnect one plug wire at a time from the distributor (be VERY careful not to touch the cooling fan!!!) if you find one that when it's disconnected there is no change in the engine's stumble then you've found the bad cylinder... then you need to figure out the rest of the problem.

Here's the info on how to check for diagnostic codes:

I really can't cover everything involved in troubleshooting an issue with so little to go on to someone so obviously new to the field... I highly recommend you look for someone in your area who's willing to help you along and teach you the more common tricks.
