Ok I have a sunroof in my car and hate it. It leeks and now i need a new headliner. I can fix it but cant find a headliner for it around here. I do love the targa's but wont chop the car up to make it a targa. Has anyone ever took out the sunroof and replaced it with metal by welding it? How much work is actually involved in doing this? I am a novice welder but could get some help from a buddy.

Why not just have it converted into a permanent moon roof type deal that doesn't open and is well sealed? Get a nice deep tint on the inside so the sun doesn't bother you and you're set. I plan on mounting a moonroof within my targa.
