I've been having problems with my girlfriends 99 sunfire lately. The problem is the end tanks on the radiator keeps separating ,the best i can tell the cheap epoxy gm uses to connect the plastic end tanks to the aluminum core is just braking down over time. I replaced the radiator about a year ago for the same reason but now its happing again and i can't bring my self to keep fixing the same problem. My idea is to clean the end tanks very good and maybe do a light sanding on them and them lay down a thick bead of high strength epoxy around the perimeter of the end tank where the factory epoxy is giving way. So does any body think this has a chance in hell of lasting or am i doomed to keep fixing this piece.

On a side not it really piss me off that no one makes a full metal radiator for this car because the epoxy breaking down is a common problem.

yea i've changed the t-stat before and this is not the problem. The reason i know this is because when the car comes up to temperature there is a steady stream of coolant shooting out of the seam on the radiator's plastic end tank and core meet.
