When my red car was hit by a wreckless woman driver I bought this car from a friend. I did't think it was beat on but man what issues I have found along the way. I must replace the sub frame, because its cracked bad near the diff. Let this be a lesson always to check the obvious things structurally; like the rear sub frame for cracks, and the body for rust, and quarter panels for body filler.:( This gets discounts for parts that need to be replaced rather than pay full price for a car thats suppose to be in great condition with hidden flaws.:nono:

I can't wait for jawsgear to finish their rear subframe project for the mk3...... i'm really looking forward to replacing that, putting in all new bushings, control and traction arms, etc, etc.

yeah i'm with you there... my rear subframe is a hunk of rust with chunks of steel flaking off.

at this point i have more aftermarket/new suspension parts than stock/original ones.
