stupid question

i know i'm going to get some flack for asking this, but i haven't found the answer anywhere.

are stock headbolts reusable? or are they tty? i only ask because i'm doing a very low budget rebuild on a spare motor until i can go balls out on the one in the car.

I don't know if they are tty for sure. But I would never re-use head bolts.. buy factory bolts if anything, but I wouldn't re-use head bolts.

everyone would agree and just spend the 100 bucks or so and get the ARP bolts. Some people I have read have just re torque the head bolts, not sure how long it lasts though

They are not tty and can be reused.

thanks hvyman. that's what i was wondering. i know it's not the best thing to do, but i need to get this engine together.
