I am replacing the stock rotors with powerslots, pads with xbg low semi-met, the rubber line with Goodridge SS line, and i will be getting new/rebuilt rear calipers. I tried the search, but couldn't really find satisfactory answers.

1) Installing the front SS brake lines, i can't remove the old line where its attached to the body (3 places, near firewall, near shock, and near rotor.) There seems to be 17mm hex lips on one side of each, which i tried spinning, but were really hard, so hard I felt I’d rip out the ‘holder’ metal pieces attaching it to the body before they spun. Am i doing something wrong, are they reverse threaded or something? Even if i get these out, i can't imagine how i'll get the Goodridge line into those 'holder' type things. The SS line is one long piece, where as the rubber line seems to be divided into three pieces for each of those ‘holders’.

b) I’m contemplating not checking the run-out of new mounted rotor with a dial indicator. Eyeballing it, It looks great, is eyeballing sufficient, or is using the dial indicator to make sure it’s perfect important?

c) Should I put the anti-sqeek shim with xbr rotors? i'm basing this on what the xbg look like and the side of the box says "Integral shim delivers quiet, high performance operation." Don’t want to put them there if there aren’t supposed to be there any longer with these fancy pads.

d) any special draggin/noise to be expected with powerslots and xbg combination after installation?

Thanks
(i really tried to make these coles notes, even then they turned out pretty long)

thanks to CKanderson for hooking me up with all the stuff, yes it was a while ago, but I haven't had the car insured.
