I was wondering if anyone around knew of a good machine shop in the Southern Maine area. I have an 88 7MGTE motor torn down to the block and head. Everyone I call has never heard of a hardness tester for an aluminum head. From what I read on this forum, they say not to bother doing anything until the head is checked. Plenty of the shaops said thay can bore a spec everything for me, but none had a torque plate.
