soarer 5spd in a supra

hey, one of my buddies who is looking into a 1jz swap into his sc300 said that the 5 speed out of a soarer that goes with the 1jz can hold some good hp and tq... like ~500-600... better than the r154 anyway... does anyone know if it would fit in a mk3? or is it the same one, and we just weren't understanding each other? just idly curious.

the 1JZ Soarer is a R154 5sp. the same as the R154 in the supra just a different bellhousing and if memory servers me a different tailshaft housing. also possibily a different gear ratio, but no stronger the the supra R154
