smoking under distributor.

Not sure why it's wet under the distributor,i'm thinking that the o-ring might be bad and oil is leaking through.Any suggestions??

Most likely the distributor o ring, if its leaking from where the distributor slides into the head.

I think thats why after trying to start her when she is hot she won't start on the first try.it takes several times to get her started and she acts like when i try to start her,their are no spark plugs in the galley.Thanks CyFi6

Water neck is right under the distributor. Could have a pinhole letting steam out.

Also could be the o-ring on the distributor as said.

Yesterday i drove to the dealership to buy a O-Ring for the Distributor,do to the old one seemed to be on the car for 21Yrs.The old one was hard and brittle,prob solved.:icon_razz:icon_razz:icon_razz:icon_razz
