Pics will be uploaded when I can find my digital camera cord.

So this all started because I was having poor gas milage and the car was hesitating a little. I thought I heard valve tick so I thought that a shim adjustment would save me a lot of more trouble down the road, and since I was going to be tearing things up I may as well change the headgasket out. The headgasket in the area that I heard the tick (rear of engine, sounded like the exhaust side) was utter crap. So now I think it has light rod knock, because my clearances seem a little loose to me, but tolerable. The only shim I think that I would need to change is the one w/ .011 clearance, so after the new shim its .009......Right?

The exhaust side came out to

(front) .010 .010 .011 .011 .012 .012 .011 .011 .012 .012 .011 .011

Intake

(front) .009 .010 .010 .009 .011 .010 .010 .009 .010 .010 .010 .010

I am going to check if its rod knock tomarrow and hope for the best
:crosses fingers:

ninja edit: hey mods, could you move this to 7m-ge section...thanks.
