Symptoms: smoke from oil cap when at idle, strong smell of gas burning, black smoke and stalling after more than 1/2 throttle while sitting still. Bad rings?

Codes?

Black smoke would be way too much fuel. Leaky injectors, o2, or vac leak.

Smoke from oil cap could be rings or clogged/incorrect pcv.

I'd still do a compression check.

compression test time. be sure to pull the efi fuse and unplug the coil packs first, but id say its rings
