is the gte head the same as the ge head? my gte ead took a shit and i can get a cheap one off of an 87 7m-ge.....is it safe to use if i replace all the cams and shit?!?!

yea, they're the same.. When you change the cams, remember the check the valve clearances and adjust accordingly
