Hi all, I'm new to owning a supra, however I've been reading things on them for the last 2 years.

I bought '89 supra 7mgte manual, everything is fine with it except:

Cold start: when it's cold and I want to start it, it will crank for about 10 seconde before firering, which is kinda long, but the weird part is, as soon as it fire up. the rpm drop to 400.
that's the second issue: idle is 400 rpm COLD OR HOT

the third issue: if I drop the car in neutral (or press the clutch pedal) while the engine rev over 3,500 rpm (no load AND load, its the same) the engine stall but will restart and go fine if I put it back in gear while moving.

also, head gasket is fine :p

Thanks guys

First of all, welcome. Secondly - is the engine throwing any ECU codes? The procedure for pulling codes is well documented here.

If you have no codes thrown, i'd suggest the cold start injector is blocked & caked with untold amounts of crap. I was getting the exact same symptoms as you, so i pulled the injector. Alas, i didn't take any pictures, but, i had to scrape a thick layer of gunk off the injector and clean the hole out with a fine needle before any fuel came out the end! If you do pull the cold start injector - you'll need a new gasket and two new copper crush washers when you re-install it.

just did some maintenances today on my 7mgte, maily oil change, coolant change, brake oil change. Changed a cracked hose going from the intake manifold to the piping going into the "past MAF but before turbo" tube.

BUT, my car does not boost like it did before, instead of the usual 400 mm/hg, I get at max 2 or 3 mm/hg, and my intercooler pipes are full of oil, where the hell does this oil come from?

I don't think my car have a boost leak, because it is not running rich and I double checked every pipe and hose I could, all of them seem ok (except all the ones I just replaced and they were not the culprit cause I still can't build any boost), could it be a leak in the turbo flange or exhaust manifold causing poor boost?

also, I think the oil in my intercooler piping is the turbo oil seal that has gone bad.
ps: I do have a small leak in the exhaust manifold around cyl 1 and 2, but I had it before and I could boost all the way to 400mm/hg.
