So my turbo had quite a bit of shaft play and was burning some oil. so i got another CT26 from a buddy swapped it on along with the o2 sensor now i have major problems, when idling the car revs from 500-1000rpm and occasionally stalls out. also when slowing down in gear it blows smoke from the exhaust, it seems to be burning oil and gas as the smoke isn't totally blue and smells like a snowmobile. car shows no codes, we changed back to the old o2 sensor that we knew worked and same problem..any suggestions?

Go back over everything that you removed and replaced. Intake pipe, AFM, intercooler pipes at bottom of turbo and one that goes over turbo, 3000 pipe, etc...

checked charge pipes, found a split one, fixed it. also fixed a vacuum leak at the throttle body. connector on the AFM seems kinda messed up on the actual sensor itself

You won't burn oil due to vacuum leaks.
If you car's blowing smoke from the exhaust on deceleration there's a good chance you swapped in a turbo with bad seals.
I swapped my turbo last week, and had the same problems. Blowing smoke (blue) and removed it. There was no real shaft play and the turbo seemed ok, hoewever my problems were gone with the install of another turbo.

So are you really sure the swapped turbo is good ?
