ok i am getting ready to install my water pump on my 1jz. well i have the timing specs and everything from alldata for a 2jz which i have been told are the same. i need to know where the marks are on the timing gears and where to point them to. also i was told the timing specs are 10 degrees btdc. also on the 1jz o2 sensor which wire is the signal wire. i am hooking up a narrow band a/f guage just for now but was wondering which wire was the signal since there is 3 wires. any help plz

do not confuse ignition timing with valve timing. the timing marks on the cam/crank gears all should be at 12 o'clock roughly, the 1jz exhaust cam is at like 12:15 or something, they should line up with the marks on the back timing cover. the best way to check the crank gear is on right is to put the lower timing cover on (with the 15 10 0 markings) and then put the crank pulley on just enough to confirm it's at 0.

a/f gauge is useless with the stock narrowband, responds too slow
