I think there should be a sticky on all ebay turbo kits, gasket kits, etc since they come up so much.

IMO if you get ebay turbo's, you better get a turbo specialist to check them to make sure they are balanced etc etc. Seriously ill spend an extra $$$ for top notch names that companies can backup their product, but thats just me.

Oh boy.... It almost a law of physics. You get what you put in. You spend under a thousand for a full turbo kit. You get okay performance for about 5-10k miles. Then you spend another 1g to get another one. Or you save your nickels until you hit at least 2gs and get a decent kit. Or you can drop like 4 and a half gs on a sp turbo kit and not have to much to be concerned about. Just spend at least 2gs on a kit. Dont bother with that kit. It would be a waste of time and money IMHO. Did that with a turbo kit for a honda. Turbo toasted after mostly normal driving after about 2-3 months. Left me along side the highway pissed off. Lesson learned. Now my turbo upgrade for my supra was the turbonetics kit. 2gs and it is a strong ball bearing, long lasting turbo with room to upgrade. Good investment for people that are looking for more reliable power than the ct-26 can offer and still be able to stick a bigger turbo on down the road. You can piece your own together too if you wish. Probably be about 2gs or maybe more depending on your turbo choice. Shop around and find a turbo that suits what you want.

I've got to hand to the seller for finally making a complete kit for the supra, even though the turbo isn't going to be very effective. The A/R on the exhuaust is huge, you won't see spool up until around 3.5-4.5K RPMs and when it does, it won't do much with the undersized .60 A/R on the cold side :3d_frown:.

Get a turbo with like an A/R of .81 and leave the .60 A/R on there, and change the couplers out to 4-ply ones with the appropriate 90 degree and reducer couplers added and you'll have a good kit there. Now once you get the turbo in, you'll need to take it to MDC and have him clean out the walnut shells inside of it... ;)

Would you like the long or the short version?

I'll give you the sort for now - don't touch it.

Put a full 3" exhaust / down pipe, intake, and bump the ct26 up to 12psi and call it a day untill your fuel system and engine are ready for a bigger turbo.
