Q: 88 harness with 89 engine?

HI ,

I drive an 88 turbo and im starting to hear a faint knock around 2-2.5 k:-(

Im able to get a great deal from a guy on and engine that has been rebuild hks mhg and all arp hardware....ect ect.

So my question is; would I be able to run the 89 engine in my all 88 car??

Ok so I just use the sensor from my 88 engine onto the 89?

Theres no issues as to the sensor and harness compatability with the 89 engine??
