Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a solid motor mount made for the pre 89 supras. I've searched and all I can find are post 89 mounts. I know that the pre 89's are fine the way they are because they are a lot stiffer than +89 mounts. If no one know's of a solid pre 89 mount that's fine, but could you point me in the right direction as to where I can get new mounts for my car at a decent price?
Thanks, Chris.

most people just use the sock ones and weld a piece of steel to the metal peices on the motor mount... makes them solid, and its cheap.... i welded a craftsman wrench to mine :) works great

UH OH... I think these may only work on MKII's without modification.
I read about them in yannis-supras thread but forgot that he had an MKII at the time.

I'll buy them off of you and find a use for them if they're useless to you...

It's not going to be a direct drop in replacement either way. I'm sure if they can make them fit in an MKII then there should only similar mods you need to do to make them fit in an MKIII.

I guess I'll be the pioneer on this mod and let you all know if they work. It's going to be a while before this is even done, I'm just collecting parts for the restoration/rebiuld right now.

Both styles of MKIII mount look like they have a bolt down the middle on the bottom side, instead of 2 off to the sides.
I think it would be pretty trivial to make a plate that attaches to the subframe somehow that allows you to use the two holes on the side. (Especially if you have a MIG along with grinder and drill)
I was looking at my toyota pickup though, and it has a 2-bolt style mount which is probobly the same as the MKII and would make it easy to drop these in. It could use some fresh mounts, and I need to lift the motor at some point to wiggle a sway bar in.
So let me know, I'll buy them for what you paid if you don't want them.

Got the mounts in today, they're a lot bigger and heavier than the pictures lead you to think. Very solid construction, I can't wait to take a look at the supra friday to see if these things will work or not!
