wussup guys, so i jus swapped in another 7mgte that came from a 91t auto, into my 8pt and some of the plugs that are next to the ecu wont match up and neither of some of the plugs by the igniter area. previously i had another 7mgte that swapped in that came from a pre89, but i didnt do that swap, another mechanic did it for me. do i have to switch out the other wires from the 91?? im stuck and i jus got a citation today to move my car off my street in 72hours. aslo do our cars have a clutch lock?? if so i would like to kno wher it is and how to disengage it. lemme kno!! i jus got a citation today as well to move my car off my street within 72hours but im held back.

also can some tell me how many grounds are ther? not sure if i got all of them

Can't use a 89+ harness in a pre 89 car without rewiring the body connectors and changing the c1 plug.

There is no clutch lock. For r154 your supposed to remove the pressure plate to remove the trans. You can also try removing the clutch fork and pulling but it can be harder.

If your about to get a ticket why not just push the car to another spot.

i jus saw my typo, my car is a 89t btw, so shouldnt it work? or have i been dumb and 89 is a pre89?

and ok cool, i was actually jus trying to start the car while my slave cylinder went out and i didnt know if the car had a clutch lock or not.

and the thing is i live on a main street that leads into a neighborhood, and i only have a driveway and spot in front of the house to hold 7 cars. so im using my neighbors parking space on the mainstreet and for mine i have another 91 parts car. so i really have no other spot to even push it

The is a neutral safety switch. You can press it with your finger and turn the key.

And no 89 body plugs and 91-92 are different. So are some 90.

The c1 plug is all the same tho for 89+

Yes but you can use a auto harness with manual. You can't use a manual with a auto.

ok cool thanks, well i am tryna to start my car but the starters not engaging and it wont crank over. are one of the grounds mounted to the tranny and is the tranny made of aluminum?? is there a thread reviewing all the correct grounds? im having a hard time remembering from when i took the motor out:nono:
