My car is in another town 2 hours away. Could anyone with an 88 run out and check for a part number on the ecu temp sensor connecting plug??? The plastic clip. I'd really appreciate it!

Yeah all they have in there are the actual sensor part number. I was told by Curt Aigner that there is a 5 digit code on the body of the connector plug. There isnt any number on mine. It was probably warn off because the plug itself is really broken up.

Oh...the plug is located on the thermostat housing. Its the plug that has two wires going to it; one brown and one green.

Usually there will be a 5-digit number, that you can use with 90980-xxxxx to order the connector.

I can cross reference it for you most likely in the wiring harness repair guide at work. I'll see what I can find.

Is this connector different on 89+ models? I totally forgot someone took my pre-89 book at work, so all I've got is 89+.

If it's not the same, I'll have to check my 88 book/my 88 car at home. :(

Sorry.

For some reason, although I dont know for sure, I have it in my head that they are different. I must have read it somewhere, but I couldnt say if this is correct or not. Yeah, if you've got time Jeff I'd appreciate it!

I found the old book and matched it up, 90980-10109.

Unfortunately though, it's not available, if you just need the wire splices for it, the part number for each wire splice is 82998-12130

Unavailable as I absolutely can't get ahold of a new one from anywhere, or just not available from you right now? I could just get the splices and use something else to "house" them right?
