I found these wheels and tires on the local classifieds for $200.00. The tires were almost new and I thought they would make good winter season wheels. Because the chrome was peeling I decided to paint them. Using my peanut grinder with a wire wheel, I "roughed" them up and also removed any loose chrome plating. I lightly sanded inside the corners with som 220 grit. I used laquer thinnerto wipe them clean and then sprayed them with some Rustoleum semi gloss. I had to thin the paint quite a bit to work in my HVLP. After several light coats there were no runs, fish eyes or orange peel. I removed the paint from the outer lip to give them some definition from the tire.
