Just wanting to start a little thread to answer some of my questions...
Currently, I am N/A... it makes me sad I know....
Anywho, I want to go turbo, and I have decided to turbo my current motor (considering it has been practically completely rebuilt and is running strong)..
Valves shimmed, bottom end rebuilt (40,000km ago), new cometic head gasket (not metal)... and and various seals replaced, straight 2.25" exhaust to magnaflow twin tip muffler.
Well that's the basics. I have an 1988 turbo M/T ecu sitting in my room. So I'm guess this is what I will be needing for the N/A-T conversion.
Turbo and turbo exhaust manifold and downpipe
Turbo wireing harness
various oil lines
intercooler and piping
3000 pipe and turbo intake manifold
blow-off valve
cps sensor
turbo/bigger injectors
turbo or lexus afm
boost gauge (*maybe* pillar pod with oil pressure, water temp, boost)
coilpack & plug wires (necessary if I run with a turbo ecu yes?)
is there anything else I would need? or anything else I could do to do this swap a little cheaper for now? I want the cheapest way to go turbo for now.. but when I get more money I will be importing a motor and completely rebuilding it with forged pistons, big turbo, maft-pro, fuel system upgrades yada yada yada.
any ideas?
