Ok, i've been strugling with this one for a while now.
I have the standard code 5-2, which indicates a bad signal or broken knock sensor.
So first thing i did was replace the wiring and connectors and i grounded it on one end. Measured things through and all is fine.
Still get the code 5-2.
Next step, install a pair of second hand knock sensors (didn't test them to see if they were good). I still get the code5-2 and i cleared the error 3 times now.
So, next step is trial and error swap the sensors and see if i come up with a good combination (i'll have to replace a few times).
However if this doesn't work, is there anything else that throws this error in the ecu? Like severe knocking inside the engine or does it just retard things?
