Hi, I bought a working headunit off of a SM member. I plugged it into the factory harness and the headunit doesnt even get power. My car didnt come with a radio from the day i bought it so i dont know were the problem may lie. A radio would be a nice feature in my car. where and how should i start to fix this problem. Oh yea, how many fuses are to the factory headunit and where are they located? THANKS!

the fuse is located under the driver side kickpanel.

all you need for the headunit to turn on is 12v at the batt and ign line and ground. id check the fuse first then go from there.

Ok, so i found out that my 10a fuse was blown. I replaced it with a 7.5 and a 10a... Neither of them got the radio to work. Which wires should i look for or test? Thanks for the reply.

EDIT: My friend said i should wire the radio to the clock so i dont lose the preset stations. How should i do this?

you dont need to do that. there is a direct feed from the battery to keep your presets.
i assume this is a stock radio you are putting in? if so, i'll have to look to see what the color codes are on the factory harness.

Ok, i got the head unit to turn on. I'm having some trouble with the signal. The previous owner butched up the stock antenna wiring. Is there a way i can rewire get both AM and FM stations using a single motorola antenna cable?
