No gauges

Hello folks. I finally got my 7m running today since owning it and it fired up right away an sounds great minus the 2 water leaks. However my gauges do not work and I think it's because the new harness I got appears to have a plug not made for my car. I have attached the pic and could use some help. If this has nothing to do with the gauges then please send me down the correct roads.

Looks like a body plug but cant really tell from the blurry pic which one exactly but that is probably the issue...Is the harness from a soarer or chaser? Check out the link and try to identify it...

The male plug goes to a box that looks like the ecu but only has the one plug to it. I'll get some better pics because my wife was chasing me out. The harness was a new old stock i bought from someone else's project that never got started.

In the second pic, the smaller plug, has everything to do with the dash.

Here's a table I dug up for you that shows the plug conversion for a yellow (pre 89) to dark grey (post 89) combination meter wiring conversion.

So essentially almost all your guage signals are encompassed into that plug, no wonder your not getting anything. Should be a simple matter of wiring the plug up to your harness and you'll be good to go.
