I just finished putting my car back together from being apart for many years which was taken apart by someone other than me. It was "fun" to say the least. ok to the problem. I got my car started today after installing new fuel pump,strainer in tank, and filter(also very fun lol).I have to press gas to floor to start but after it starts right up. ok so it runs BUT idles from 1000-3000 rpms over and over again. It does not die just keep going i had it running that way for about five mins just make sure it wouldnt die. i can hear a constant miss maybe timing a little off???..so i turn it off and it throws a code 11...i have read every "code 11" thread on here i could but none with my specific problem..so i read the book and im gonna do a full diag electrical check according to TSRM in a couple days(school and work and no time) but does anyone know what could cause that constant jump in idle from 1k to 3k over and over?...or could it just be the code 11...any help , advice, or anything possible will be a great help.. thank you :1zhelp:

you should probably check the timing. But first. start the car. and pinch the hose that goes from your idle speed controller to your turbo. If i'm correct your idle should go down. I this works get a new idle speed cotroller, find out how to fix it, or put a valve to control the vaccum manually.
