Well, the time has come for me to go NA->T... but I still need a little advice from all you turbo experts out there!

Here's the deal. I have access to a fully rebuilt 7m-gte (new stock pistons/rods.. reground crank.. new cams, new valves, new springs, new valve seals, rebuilt ct26 etc etc.)... and basically an entire parts car. Anything I want from the car for $2000 canadian. (he has over 6k worth of receipts alone for the motor) It is an 88 Turbo Auto. My car is an 88 N/A 5spd... But the front is mangled, and the car now has a salvage title. The car probably has only 5k on it since the rebuild.

The motor is in the car, and runs 100%. I've heard it and driven it... builds boost fast and runs smooth. I already have an 88T M/T ecu and plan to use my w58 tranny (shifts smooth, low miles). So I can re-use my brand new clutch master/slave cylinders and lines. Also, with that 88T M/T ecu am I correct that I can use the 88T auto engine harness? I am going to re-use my driveshaft and 4.30 LSD. So far so good!

Now, basically I know I need to pull the motor and everything that is directly attatched to it. But is there anything else from the engine bay that I am going to need? What can I re-use, what needs to be replaced with the turbo version? (Ex. Throttle cable?)

The short end of the stick: If you had a turbo front clip what would you take from it to convert an N/A into a turbo.

I'd pull the entire engine + harness, and drop it into your car just like that. Put a new clutch in the w58 while it is out, and install that '88T M/T ecu you have :)

Is there anything else I am going to need? Like those little cooler looking things on the driverside of the engine bay? will my throttle cable be ok? Will I need a new powersteering resevoir? I would like to know now because it will be a little while before I can actually swap the turbo motor into my car, and would like to make sure I have all the components I need.
