Haha. Well I ran into this thing ... it's huge. Anyone ever used a semi turbo on anything?

ha, thats cool. I'm a diesel mechanic and theres a new bus turbo sitting in the parts room thats been there forever, I can fit my fist in the inlet. cool find but theres like no way you could use something like that..

Haha yeah, do you know if they're worth anything? I picked this up from a barn I was cleaning out last weekend. There were like 6 of them but I only grabbed one..

Try it if you really feel like wasting your time. People use "diesel turbos" all the time.

The problem is:

a.) you have a turbo older than your car

b.) you have a turbo that is "backwards"

c.) you have a turbo that is no where near what your engine will spool (appears to be larger than a gt50)

The diesel turbos you're wanting are the GT40 series and to4(e/b) series.
