Hahaha, I thought it was funny. Dumb, but funny.

Of course if he wasn't kidding then I say asshole.

Yes but being ignorant like this makes people not want to bother answering questions/threads like this..Get it? good :)

Check the above mentions and get back to us :)

I thought that guy was joking or being sarcastic. But anywho...does your car shake really badly when you're accelerating?
no the car does not shake very badly only in 5th gear is when i feel the shaking or while the car is idling at normal temp

if it was a BHG i would be very pissed but still kinda clueless on what excatly BHG is didn't research on that yet will soon

Some of you guys need to consider posting stuff that's actually useful in a thread, or don't post in the thread at all...

Amen!

VA7MGE, BHG stands for Blown Head Gasket... it happens a lot with 7M's and it isn't fun but once it's replaced and the bolts are torqued down with more pressure than the specs specify the next one should last a good long time.

I don't see any reason to think that's the case here though. The rough idle could be any number of things from a vacuum leak to a BHG to the ignition timing needing adjustment to running too much oil.

The vibration you feel while driving is more likely to be due to either a missfire, bad alignment or bad drive shaft carrier bearing (it supports the drive shaft in the middle of the tranny tunnel).

I would start checking for a missfire by starting the engine and pulling the spark plug wires off the distributor one at a time. If the engine boggs down or shakes worse, put that wire back on and pull the next one, and so on. If you pull one of the 6 wires and the engine's shaking doesn't change you've found the trouble cylinder. The first thing I would do then is follow the wire to the the spark plug and pull the wire off the spark plug. Look for oil around the spark plug boot on the wire. Bad valve cover seals leaking oil down around the spark plugs can cause a bad miss and it's a fairly simple fix. If the wire's boot is clean of oil pull the spark plug and inspect it, then test the wire itself.

If the spark plugs or wires aren't at fault I would start replacing the vacuum lines with fresh hose (ONE at a time!), then inspect the intake piping for cracks and leaks.

I hope this helps... once you get the rough idle thing taken care of and if you still get the vibration afterward post back and we'll go through finding the cause of that issue.

At cruising speed in 5th gear, your vibration could be as simple as a bad tire or wheel balance. Could be in the suspension(bad strut, tie rod ends, etc.)
As far as the vibration at idle, if its not what CRE already said, you should visually check all the mounts. If the rubber is broke, its bad. You can also see if you can easily lift either side of the motor(engine off) with a pry bar, just be careful what you pry against so you don't break anything. You could maybe lift at the exhaust and intake manifolds, using the strut mounts as a fulcrum. Like I said, be careful so you don't break anything. If the mounts are broke, you won't have to pull very hard, and the engine will tilt. Put one side of the car on stands, and check the trans. mount. See if you can push the trans. up from the tail. Check the d.s. carrier bearing the same way.

im still a newb, but you just take off the 4 long screws on the throttle body....taking off the intake helps.then u could just lift it to the side i think...

lol. The "header thing" is the intake. The thing on the end with all the hoses is the throttle body. Here's a link: http://cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=IG&P=6
Just take the throttle body loose, and lay it over to the side. That's one very clean stock engine and bay. Did you wash it recently? If so, you could have water in the spark plug boots interrupting the spark. Pull the wires, and spray them out with wd40 to push out any water or condensation.

Twist the boot to the left, then to the right to loosen up the rubber boot on the plug(may have to repeat a couple times), then pull firmly on the boot with a twist either way straight up off of the plug. If you just yank on the wire, you'll rip the wire off of the contact, and have to replace them.
As far as the t.b. removal, you don't have to remove the small vacuum lines, but anything that won't(or shouldn't) bend or twist needs to come off. Roll it straight over on top of the intake. I usually unbolt the intake runners from the plenum, and remove the whole thing so that I can check the valve cover bolts while I'm there. There was a good thread on this a while back, you might wanna search....
