well as the title says, I finally got my JDM NA motor in my car running on turbo electronics, finally got the starter to turn the motor over after messing with the wires going to the starter.. but now I think I have a timing problem.. I am getting fuel, but the motor will turn over 1 to 2 times than backfire. but not start... It allmost came close to starting once.. but it ended in a backfire.. will timing cause this? tommorow when its day light I will check codes and timing and the such.. but I would love to hear what others think I should also check. I have been reading others posts also.. any info would be appreciated! thanks in advance :naughty:

Yes. line up your cam gears your #1 TDC, your crank on the 0 and then check your rotor and make sure it's one the #1 wire. After it starts, should after all is lined up, then time it with a timing light, remember to jumper TE1 and E1 in the Dianostic box.

+1...and it sounds exactly like what a motor does when the timing is waaaay off.

Post how it turns out.
