I was replacing a couple vac hoses when I noticed that the
two hoses that are connected to the top of the throttle body were crossed.:aigo:

This is a pic of the way it was when I bought it, I circled the two hoses...

I know its hard to see but the hose on the right side(closest to the throttle linkage) runs to the purge side of the charcoal canister
and the one on the left(closest to the tps) runs down the front of the intake manifold.
The TSRM shows it the other way...
My EGR and BVSV have been removed (bought it that way) so I dont know if they're supposed to be crossed or not:1zhelp:

This is how I have them routed now...
If there is anything you see wrong with it please let me know.

they are not supposed to be crossed but it is still getting vacuum, it just doesnt look as neat. if u do a search on here, u will find detailed vaccum diagrams. and niether one of those lines will be removed or crossed when u take egr out. "jdm" does not make diff.

I'm also not sure if this metal vacuum line should be capped or does it not matter since the EGR is gone...

cap it!! thats a vacuum leak. one of the lines comin out of tb (supposed to be one on left) goes into the other side of that vacuum tree on side of manifold. i have my boost gauge running off that vaccum port.

cap it on the tree. if u cap it on tb, anything that runs to the tree (fpr, injector vsv,...) wont get vacuum

Incorrect. That port is for the EGR only (which he doesn't seem to have anyway) , and the "tree" is only a hard vac line from the TB.

but there are other things that get vacuum from the tree. granted, the egr and egr vsv also go into the tree but u just plug those ports when removed. if u remove the tree or cut it from its vacuum source(tb) u gotta find another vacuum source for the fuel regulator and the injector vsv

SM74 - You're not using a BVSV to control vapor purge from the charcoal canister?

MkIIIman is correct...you can cap the throttle body port that attaches to that hard line on the "tree". It's the only one used for the EGR (assuming you don't have an EGR). The rest of the tree uses a different vac source.

Yes it...you don't have one. Guess pre-'89 turbo's don't...I always thought it was the pre-'89 NA motors that used a 2 sensor housing. Interesting ;)

So my hose route is ok? Do I need to control vapor purge from the charcoal canister or is it ok to have constant vapor purge to the TB?

No i think its just JDM motors do not have an EGR system. and also apparently dont have a Charcoal canister in them so they dont have a port for the BVSV. I just got my JDM motor and it is just like that picture.
Now i have a question lol..I want to remove the Charcoal canister while im doing to JDM swap..Should i just leave the vapor line to it vented in the engine bay?

charcoal canister is EVAP system

if you really want to get rid of it i would say to get a vented gas cap or drill a hole in yours :p

im actually curious as to what airflow sensor its useing?
