Hello guys. Im planning to upgrade my brake system in the near future and I wanted to know if anyone has the magnum steel brake lines and if they are good or not. Or if anyone has heard if they are good. This is the ebay link

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stai...emQQcategoryZ33562QQihZ010QQitemZ200179189972

I was planning to get a goodridge set from HPF.com but since Im probably going to buy my brembo rotors from the same vendor as the brake lines, I was going to ask them to cut me a deal if I bought both the rotors and brake lines from them to save some cash, plus the magnums cost less than the GR.

I tried doing a search on the lines but all I got was an old for sale thread back in august and someone complaining abou thier clutch lines.

Any opinions, input or advice? Thanks in advanced!

what are you planning to do with the car? I'm just asking because whether or not its worth it is up to this fact lol. Daily driver wouldn't need it. Anyway in any regards this is a much nicer upgrade from stock, as they handle heat better and will be less prone to popping and such.

Im not going to go crazy on the car. I already put tokico 2s and eibach spring on it. Just want to put rotors and brake lines since I already changed the brake padding recently.

After that I want to finish hard piping, like the 3" elbow and port out the exhaust manfiold since I want to stay on ct-26. I already have a tanabe downpipe, random tech cat and rsr exhaust along with a hks bov kit with a cheap ebay intake which Ill upgrade to a K&N someday.

Eventually down the line Ill do the metal HG, arp bolts and MBC the ct-26 (57 trim hopefully) but nothing else drastic (like bigger turbos, nos, ffim) Maybe strut bars and stuff. Keeping it simple I think.

dont skimp on brakes :) and i dont know about your rotor choice, but stick with blanks or slotted, but not drilled unless its actually a bbk.

NO!!!!
I bought those exact lines for my car:
They don't fit the original clips that hold them in place, so you'd need to grind them a bit to widen them. But the main problem is that they LEAK. Both front ones leaked from the lines themselves, not from bad washers or anything. If I were to press on the brake pedal hard, you could actually feel the pedal sink to the floor slowly, and after about one day of normal use, you'd get the brake warning light on from low fluid. I have no paint left on the bottom side of my lower control arms.
I bought these, and have had no problems, and they fit properly, AND include not only the lines, but new copper crush washers AND bolts.

Hell, they're even like a buck cheaper.

Thank you so much. Not to say I was expecting negative things bout them but I knew I d get honest feedback that would guide me how to better spend my money. Im definitly going to check out the lines you provided supraguy, thank you again.

As for clip, I dont plan to skimp on the brakes, this is the link to the rotors I wanted to purchase

It says drilled, but I trusted the brembo name compared to the other cheaper rotor brands on ebay. Any reason "not" to go with these.?

I 2nd that. I installed some SS Goodridge brake lines and they are pretty nice as well. They are like $113.00 shipped on ebaymotors.

And for rotors some OEM rotors will do the job but those rotors in that link are nice.
